Strooom Labs was founded in early 2024 by energy engineers who have spent decades bringing together software, cloud, IoT and energy technology. We saw grid congestion becoming an ever bigger problem, while the Netherlands already has huge amounts of installed flexibility that's barely being used. So we started building the intelligence that can actually put it to work.

Our mission

More renewable energy doesn't just need more capacity — it needs smarter capacity.

Reinforcing the grid takes years and billions. Meanwhile, millions of homes already contain capacity that could move with solar, wind and prices. Strooom makes that consumption flexible by intelligently connecting devices, buildings and energy markets — while treating residents' comfort as a hard constraint.

You can build an API. System knowledge has to be earned.

Access to a heat pump manufacturer's cloud doesn't mean you understand how the heating system behind it actually behaves. That knowledge only comes from tracking and measuring thousands of homes over years to see how they truly respond. All that data feeds our physical models, and every new home sharpens them further.
